Yolo County Juvenile Hall Multipurpose Facility

Project overview

Vanir provided construction management and project oversight for a new multipurpose addition built adjacent to Yolo County’s existing 38,300-square-foot juvenile hall, which was completed in 2005 and also required our team’s design phase and construction management services.

The new multipurpose facility includes:

  • A gymnasium with a basketball court
  • A visitor’s center, staff areas and restrooms
  • Storage, electrical and mechanical rooms
  • A lobby with dedicated program spaces
  • Secure entryways, two accessible parking stalls and concrete sidewalks
  • A covered walkway connecting the new addition to the existing juvenile hall

The existing juvenile hall required minor work since the utilities for the multipurpose facility tied into the existing center’s utility infrastructure.
