Valleywise Community Health Center – South Phoenix

Project overview

Vanir served as the program and project manager for the construction of the Valleywise Community Health Center – South Phoenix. This 26,000-square-foot facility is part of the ambulatory expansion for the Valleywise program, supporting a network of 12 community health centers throughout Maricopa County. Vanir’s scope of work included bid and award support, commissioning and start up, cost and move management, value engineering, and closeout.

The facility consists of:

  • A pharmacy
  • A lab
  • Imaging
  • A Family Learning Center
  • Patient exam rooms
  • Support spaces for environmental services and teaching
  • An integrated behavioral health space

Despite impacts from COVID-19 and evolving requirements, the project remained on schedule and was delivered under budget. Using a templated building approach contributed to cost predictability, while full-scope program management ensured adherence to the budget.
