Tuolumne County Mother Lode Regional Juvenile Detention Facility

Project overview

Vanir provided full-time project and construction management services for a new 26,815-square-foot, 30-bed detention facility to house juvenile offenders in Tuolumne County.

The facility sits on 2.5 acres and includes one housing unit (18 sleeping rooms), classrooms, a dayroom, a medical examination room, an enclosed/secure outdoor exercise area, a central control room, juvenile processing space, holding cells, a vehicular sallyport, an administration/staff area, a laundry room, a warming/culinary arts kitchen and a maintenance area.

Our services included value engineering, cost estimating, schedule review, constructability review and State Lease Revenue Bond coordination. During the design phases (prior to bidding), we also provided value engineering, cost estimating, budgeting, bid marketing and schedule development services.

This project was funded with State of California Lease Revenue Bond Funds (SB81).
