Sierra Joint Community College District

Project overview

Vanir successfully provided program, project and construction management services to Sierra Joint Community College District on various projects during 1995-2010. The District has campuses in Rocklin, Roseville and Grass Valley.

Projects included:

  • A $14.5 million, 88,000-square-foot learning resource center
  • A $2.5 million, 9,000-square-foot childcare development center
  • A $2 million student housing renovation
  • A $50 million, 60,000-square-foot math and technology building
  • Updating the master plan and conducting a series of workshops to gather faculty and other stakeholders’ input. The master plan became the basis for the $355 million bond placed on the March 2004 ballot
  • Miscellaneous renovation and modernization projects
  • Measure G Phase II buildout, including a 15,000-square-foot classroom building and 28,600-square-foot fine and performing arts complex

Vanir’s value engineering saves cost

When the new Phase II buildout project bid out over budget, Vanir facilitated a value engineering process that produced $700,000 of cost reducing ideas from the contractor.
