Sequim School District

Project overview

Sequim School District selected Vanir to provide construction management services for an Energy Savings Performance Contract project for a new District-wide central kitchen facility. The project included deconstruction of an abandoned District-owned school on the property.

Vanir’s intensive collaboration with the District and the community resulted in a new design alternative that provided a state-of-the-art energy efficient facility and allowed additional square footage for the kitchen.

The final product exceeded expectations, stayed within the budget and provided $4.3 million in future eligible matching funds from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). Additionally, Vanir provided District-wide facilities condition assessments and future bond planning services.

Out of the gates Vanir blew away the competition…the Central Kitchen Project has come in under budget! This fiscal responsibility came from Vanir sitting on this project like a 600-pound gorilla.
