Vanir’s long-standing relationship with San Juan Unified School District (SJUSD) dates back to 1996, when we began providing program, project, and construction management services for the $157 million Measure S Modernization Program. More than 60 schools were improved during this time. In 2002, we began assisting the District with project and construction management services for the $350 million Measure J Modernization Program, followed by the $350 million Measure N Program in 2012.
Vanir is currently providing program, project, and construction management services for SJUSD’s $750 million Measure P Bond Program. An exciting project recently completed is the new 350-seat Performing Arts Building at Rio Americano High School.
The facility includes a state-of-the-art control/sound room, two next-generation music classrooms, and four practice rooms. There is a ticket booth on the exterior, men’s/women’s restrooms accessible from the lobby, and the second floor is accessible via an ADA elevator. This much-needed Center for the Arts will serve the internationally-known Rio Americano band program!
“Vanir has always met and exceeded our expectations. The Vanir team always keeps the District’s best interests in mind when making decisions on our behalf. We truly feel we are partners, thank you.”
Brett Mitchell, Director of Facilities, Construction and Modernization, SJUSD
