San Benito County Behavioral Health Center

Project overview

San Benito County’s Behavioral Health Center, the Esperanza Center, was constructed on two acres behind its former office. Vanir provided limited preconstruction services followed by construction management services through project closeout.

The project was put out to bid in two packages (modular building bid and the site bid) and the scope included a parking lot, landscaping, irrigation and courtyards for patient and staff use.

The facility houses approximately 75 health clinicians, psychiatrists, case managers, nurses, administrators and clerical support staff. Its mission is to provide clients with positive reinforcement, wellness and assertiveness to promote their recovery.
