One Community Health

Project overview

Vanir is providing project and construction management services for two new locations for One Community Health, as part of their 10-year strategic plan to expand access to high-quality, patient-centered care and address the healthcare needs of their community. The program provides services for outpatient primary care, women’s health, integrated behavioral health, specialty care, dental care, after-hours care, imaging and training/conferences.

Targeting LEED Silver certification, both locations will feature a cultural center, respite center, dog relief area, walk-up pharmacy services and environmental vehicle charging units. The new facilities include:

  • Kings Way: Design of an OSPHD 3 medical facility within the existing three-story building of approximately 43,000 square feet. To meet the client’s needs, a second gurney-sized elevator will be constructed within the building’s interior, in addition to the single existing passenger elevator.
  • 21st Street: Design of an OSPHD 3 medical facility within an existing shell building of 35,996 square feet of programmed space. Originally two buildings – the West Building (1960s, Type V construction) and the East Building addition (1990s, connected to the original structure via a vertical circulation core) – the clinical program will be developed and constructed in the West Building and the One Community Health Administrative offices will relocate to the East Building.
