Napa County Staff Secure Facility

Project overview

Vanir provided construction management services for the Napa County Staff Secure Facility. It consists of four dormitory buildings (each holding 18 beds), along with a Program Administration Building. The mission of the facility is to provide a step down place for inmates to prepare for re-entry into the community upon release. It offers a variety of programs through contracted service providers, and partners with Napa Valley College and other community-based organizations.

Along with the secure facility, the project included the following infrastructure for a future jail site: new systems for sewer, water, fire water, natural gas, telephone and electrical.

The Administration Building and exterior areas provide several spaces to serve the inmates:

  • Kitchen and dining areas
  • Classrooms
  • Computer lab
  • Counseling areas
  • Planting and gardening spaces
  • Basketball court
