Lubbock County Jail is the largest jail ever constructed in West Texas. The two-story administration building is accompanied by 6 single-level and mezzanine cell clusters. The project also included an 8,000-square-foot central plant/warehouse building.

We began by attending design meetings in June 2003 until completion of design. Our estimates were done at 100 percent Schematic Design; 50 percent Construction Documents (CDs) and 100 percent CDs. At 90 percent CDs, a complete constructability review was conducted, resulting in more than 1,500 comments. These measures minimized time delays, change orders, and potential cost impacts.
