Los Angeles World Airports Capital Improvement Program

Project overview

Since 2005, Vanir has been serving Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) for various projects. In a joint venture with ASL Program Management Consultants, Vanir provided project and construction management services for LAWA’s $14 billion Capital Improvement Program. This was an eight-year staff augmentation contract.

Projects include:

  • Mid Satellite Concourse North: $1.6 billion, design-build, 15-gate concourse located west of Tom Bradley International Terminal
  • Terminal Cores and Automatic People Mover (APM) Interface: $505 million, design-build, renovation of Terminal 5, Terminal 7 and Tom Bradley International Terminal to interface with the APM
  • Mid Satellite Concourse South: $485 million, CMAR, construction of nine additional gates to connect to Mid Satellite Concourse North
  • LAX Police Station: $300 million, design-build, new police station located just north of the airport
  • Fire Station/Training Facility: New facility for LAWA’s internal fire department, located within the airport footprint
  • Iconic LAX-themed, Fiber-optic Lighting: Installation of fiber-optic lighting throughout the central terminal area
  • Low Voltage Infrastructure: $30 million
