Los Angeles Unified School District

Program overview

Vanir has served the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) continuously for over 30 years. Our project and construction management services have consistently improved quality, advanced project schedules and reduced costs. Currently, we are managing design, construction, sustainability, commissioning and Proposition 39 projects for the Measure Q Bond Program and planning for the Measure RR Bond Program passed in November of 2020. Representative Measure Q projects include:

  • Critical Repair HVAC Replacement Program: Replacement of critical HVAC and fire alarm systems at 25+ campuses, $300 million, ongoing
  • Comprehensive Modernization Program: Modernization of 22 existing high schools, includes new campus-wide utility infrastructure replacement, site accessibility upgrades, seismic retrofit and/or replacement and new construction,$3.8 billion, ongoing
  • Seismic Projects: Replacement and/or retrofit of existing seismically deficient buildings, projects ranging from $10-$20 million, ongoing
  • Classroom Replacement/Addition Projects: Removal/replacement of Dept. of Housing relocatable buildings, construction of new classrooms, site accessibility and infrastructure upgrades, $32 million, ongoing

I am proud of our success and am appreciative of the support we have received from the Vanir team throughout the last 30+ years. Vanir team members have responded to the District’s needs in an accountable and transparent manner, and their commitment to the vision and mission of LAUSD is unparalleled.
