Los Angeles Trade-Technical College

Project overview

Through the approved Measure LA, the Los Angeles Community College District is continuing its legacy offering high-quality educational programs by providing additional resources for major redevelopment projects to meet its programmatic needs. Vanir has been leading the College Project Team at the District’s inner city, landlocked site of Los Angeles Trade-Technical College (LATTC) on its bond-funded projects.

Currently, the Vanir team is managing 35 projects with construction values ranging from $300,000 to over $100 million, totaling more than $875 million.

Among these projects are:

  • A nearly 180,000-square-foot new Construction Technology Building for LATTC’s specialized construction and maintenance utilities program
  • A two-story, 71,100-square-foot culinary arts building, featuring state-of-the-art labs and kitchens, classrooms and a multipurpose gathering space for students, staff and public events
  • An 89,445-square-foot Design and Media Arts building, replacing the existing Sage Hall to consolidate the fashion design and merchandising, digital media, visual communications, sign graphics and tailoring programs, as well as provide room for potential growth in communications technologies
