Kern Community College District – Delano Learning Resource Center

Project overview

Vanir provided construction management services for the new Delano Learning Resource Center, a 39,900-square-foot, two-story facility built on Kern Community College District’s Delano campus. The building allows the District to serve an additional 1,000 students and eliminates the need for students to drive to the District’s Bakersfield campus for specialized classes.

The facility houses several academic functions, including:

  • A library
  • A study hall
  • Flexible classrooms
  • A tutoring center
  • Computer labs
  • Faculty offices
  • Support services, such as admissions and records, financial aid and counseling

Vanir’s role included overseeing the demolition of 9,463 square feet of existing portable buildings.
