Project overview
Extending the sewer collection system and the water/reclaimed water distribution helped meet the needs for new and future developments of Gilbert. Vanir joined the project team late in the design phase as the project and construction manager and played an active role throughout the design, bid-award, construction and post-construction phases.
This project involved the design and construction of the following:
- 5 miles of gravity sewer ranging in size from 15-24 inches at an average depth of 30 feet
- 2.5 miles of reclaimed waterline ranging in size 16-20 inches
- 1.5 miles of 16-inch waterline
Value engineering savings
Value engineering savings during design saved over $82,000 by simply addressing pipeline alignments, assessing the possibility of repairing irrigation lines, implementing traffic controls and eliminating overlaps in scopes of work.
