Project overview
Vanir has served Gillespie County since 2011 and continued this long-term relationship by providing design criteria architect and project management services for the County’s new, award-winning AgriLife Building and Facility Maintenance and Technology Services (FMTS) Building. This was the County’s first project completed utilizing a design-build delivery method and one of the first large-scale design-build commercial construction projects in all of Fredericksburg, Texas. The project included:
- AgriLife Building: A new 13,880-square-foot facility that houses the County’s/Texas A&M University’s AgriLife Extension Service. The facility includes administrative and flex office spaces, restrooms, a large multi-purpose/BB gun range with operable wall partitions, a demonstration kitchen, a 4-H classroom, storage, a conference room, entry canopies and a dedicated parking lot for County vehicles.
- FMTS: A new 8,514-square-foot facility that houses the County’s Facility Maintenance and Technology Services Departments. The building includes administrative and flex office spaces, restrooms, storage, a repair shop, a wood shop, entry canopies and a dedicated, secured parking lot for County vehicles.
