Project overview

Vanir is providing project and construction management services to Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD), a regional water agency that provides drinking water, wastewater, stormwater and non-potable water services. Since 2018, our team has completed nine projects for the District, and is currently working on an additional two projects that are ongoing. Our services have included constructability reviews, bid preparation, design selection support and California Drinking Water State Revolving Funds administration support, construction management and inspection. A few key projects include:

  • Palm Desert Critical Support Services Facility: New 19,057-square-foot facility that houses emergency operations and centralized IT infrastructure, as well as water quality laboratories and staff training areas, $14 million, completed 2019
  • Highway 86 Transmission Main, Phase 2 and Booster Station 08861: Nearly seven miles of 30-inch ductile iron pipe transmission main conveying potable water from the central region of CVWD’s distribution network to outlying communities, $25 million, completed 2020
  • Sun City Palm Desert Water Main Replacement Phase 1: Pipeline construction to replace 30,000 linear feet of water pipelines connecting to existing well sites throughout the Sun City community, $9.2 million, completed 2021

Vanir will continue to support CVWD’s capital improvements over the next several years.
