Kurt Weidmann, CCM, LEED AP serves as Vanir’s Northern California Area Manager, where he partners with executive leadership and regional teams to identify growth opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and deliver successful projects throughout Sacramento and Northern California.
With more than 30 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry, Kurt has built a diverse career spanning planning, design, construction, corporate real estate, and program management. Throughout his career, Kurt has led large, complex capital improvement programs for educational institutions, public agencies, corporate clients, and federal organizations. His expertise spans the full project lifecycle, including planning, funding, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and program management.
Early in his career, he worked for general contractors as an estimator and project manager, gaining hands-on experience delivering construction projects. While part of Gap Inc.’s Real Estate and Corporate Architecture department, he supported the planning and project delivery of retail facilities nationwide for all brands.
Since joining Vanir in 2016, Kurt has played a pivotal role in advancing several of the firm’s most significant programs. He has helped lead the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s multi-billion-dollar Capital Outlay Program and has been instrumental in expanding Vanir’s aviation and justice market presence. His leadership has supported the successful delivery of transformative initiatives, including the Illinois Department of Corrections’ RISE and Sacramento International Airport’s SMForward programs.
Kurt earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Notre Dame and is both a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He also served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force’s 3750th Civil Engineering Squadron.
