Vanir Wins Two 2025 CMAA Southern California Chapter Project Achievement Awards

We’re thrilled to share that Vanir’s Southern California team earned two 2025 CMAA Southern California Project Achievement Awards in the Government, Over $50M category for the Menifee Justice Center and James A. Musick Facility (JAMF).

JAMF: As one of the largest projects undertaken by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) in over 50 years, it is designed to support inmate treatment and rehabilitation, incorporating best practices in behavioral and mental health. The 512-bed jail facility, with an additional 384-bed administration program building, offers critical amenities to serve the needs of the inmates, such as kitchen, housing, programming, administrative, reception and medical spaces. Additionally, the project included a standalone warehouse and central plant buildings.

Menifee Justice Center: Representing a significant development in Riverside County’s infrastructure, the facility was designed to replace the outdated Hemet Courthouse and enhance the efficiency and accessibility of judicial services in the region. Constructed on a site of about 3.87 acres, the three-story building spans 85,010 square feet and cost approximately $95 million to construct. The Menifee Justice Center not only alleviated the space limitations from the previous courthouse but also incorporates advanced technology systems for security and communication, facilitating more efficient operations. Achieving LEED Silver certification, the building also adheres to sustainability standards with features that promote energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.

Congratulations to our clients, Judicial Council of California and Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the project teams and our Vanir team members on the success of these two incredible projects!
