Vanir Promotes Dan Ferst to Senior Vice President and Bay Area Manager

We are pleased to announce that Dan Ferst has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President and Bay Area Manager. This promotion recognizes the many contributions Dan has made during his tenure with Vanir.

Dan has more than 25 years of experience delivering PMCM services as well as general contracting work in the San Francisco Bay Area. His background has been focused on project budgeting, cost controls, estimating, design-phase management, construction coordination, quality controls and scheduling. Dan brings a creative and analytical style to managing projects from conception to completion. He spent the first 11 years of his career working in the commercial general contracting field on large ground-up office and hi-tech campuses, lab facility projects and an award-winning senior housing community.

Dan joined Vanir in 2006 as a Senior Project Manager and quickly worked his way up to a Project Director, managing multiple programs and projects. While at Vanir, he has spent the last 16 years diversifying Vanir’s portfolio of projects across several market segments including educational K-14, state and local government, justice and essential services, healthcare and lab facilities and water and energy.

In 2012, Dan was promoted to the position of Area Manager and his responsibilities have included all aspects of the San Francisco business operations. Additionally, he has managed sales activities with support from the executive directors and business development staff. As part of this effort, Dan conducts forecasting, develops win plans, provides team guidance, participates in proposals and interviews for new projects.

In Dan’s new role, he will continue to lead the Bay Area and he will also provide support for Vanir’s business operations in Southern, Central and Northern California.
