Vanir Celebrates Shanna Crutchfield Day 2022

Happy Shanna Crutchfield Day!

Established by proclamation of the City of Seattle on March 3, 2017, Shanna Crutchfield Day recognizes Shanna’s exceptional leadership and 30-year commitment to advancing racial equity for the residents of Seattle. The honor was bestowed upon Shanna following her retirement from Seattle City Light, which was created by the citizens of Seattle to provide affordable, reliable and environmentally responsible electric power to the City and neighboring suburbs. It was during the last 13 years of her career with Seattle City Light that Shanna also served as Program Manager for the organization’s Race and Social Justice Initiative, working to end institutionalized racism and race-based disparities in City government.

Since her retirement from Seattle City Light, Shanna has served as Vanir’s Community Outreach and Equity Contracting Manager, partnering with our clients and project teams to ensure that our projects engage and listen to the voices of all communities they serve and advance equity in contracting and procurement through our partnerships with minority-, women-, small- and disadvantaged-owned businesses.

Please join us in congratulating Shanna on this huge honor and celebrating her continued work! She truly is an agent of change and an advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion for all!
