Vanir Accepts Delayed 2020 CMAA Southern California Chapter Project Achievement Award

After more than a year’s delay, we were thrilled to accept our 2020 CMAA Southern California Chapter Project Achievement Award (Constructed Value of $11 Million to $50 Million) for the Patton State Hospital (PSH) Kitchens project!

Vanir was proud to provide construction management services for the building of a new 36,000-square-foot central kitchen – the only cook-chill facility in the California Department of State Hospitals (DSH) to achieve LEED Gold status – and partial remodeling of seven satellite kitchens within PSH. Located in San Bernardino County and opened in 1893, PSH provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. Vanir was honored to continue its 30-plus year relationship with the California Department of General Services (DGS), which began in 1986 when we were contracted to oversee a major renovation and new construction program at five state hospitals including PSH.

Congratulations to DGS, DSH and PSH and thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this important project, including Vanir Senior Construction Manager Justin Peters, Vice President and Executive Director of Water and Energy Leslie Barrett, Project Coordinator Sonia Granados, Senior Administrative Assistant Leslie Vergara, Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., Owen Group, Inc., Pinner Construction, Verdical Group and Leland Saylor Associates.
