Steven Solka Promoted to Central States Deputy Area Manager

We are pleased to announce that Steven Solka has been promoted to the position of Central States Deputy Area Manager. This promotion recognizes Steven’s many contributions to Vanir and his extensive leadership experience in construction and project management.

Steven brings over 30 years of valuable experience as a capital program management professional. He has served as an owner’s representative on programs and projects spanning municipal, K-12, higher education, public facilities and private sectors. A retired Colonel in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Steven’s military service included strategic planning, operations management and resource coordination during combat deployments.

Steven’s professional expertise includes program, project and construction management; strategic planning; and value engineering. His track record demonstrates his ability to manage large-scale projects while ensuring compliance with contracts, maintaining quality standards and delivering cost-effective solutions.

As Central States Deputy Area Manager, Steven will work closely with the Area Manager to support staffing and activities for both marketing and operations. His responsibilities include identifying growth opportunities, fostering client relationships and delivering innovative solutions across the Central States. Steven will continue to exemplify Vanir’s commitment to excellence in program and construction management.

Steven is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Construction Management Association of America, the Lean Construction Institute and the American Institute of Constructors. His dedication to community service is evident through his involvement in various local committees and boards, such as the Coppell ISD 2023 Bond Oversight Committee and Jewish War Veterans Post 256 incoming Commander.
