We are pleased to announce that Tom Tracy has joined the Vanir team as our new Sacramento Area Manager. In this role, he is responsible for providing guidance and support so that the Sacramento Area can achieve both its fiscal and five-year goals. This involves partnering with Area project directors and firm leadership to provide staffing and support for Area marketing and operations activities that contribute to business development and market growth and expansion.
Tom brings 40 years of experience in a wide range of infrastructure and transportation programs and projects. His career has evolved from designer to program and project manager and now Area leader. Tom’s full resume includes over 50 large-scale transportation projects alone. His experience also includes preliminary engineering and environmental clearance, managing projects as a contract or task manager, performing public outreach and acting as a design or quality manager.
Tom holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Sacramento. As a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of California, Nevada and Washington and an Envision Sustainability Professional, he is an experienced project and people manager and a key advocate for sustainable infrastructure. Tom is also a proud member of the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Public Works Association and the Civil Engineering Program Industry Advisory Committee at California State University, Sacramento.
