Kurt Weidmann, CCM, LEED AP, Promoted to Northern California Deputy Area Manager

We are pleased to announce that Kurt Weidmann has been promoted to the position of Northern California Deputy Area Manager. This promotion recognizes Kurt’s many contributions to Vanir over the last six years and is effective immediately.

With more than 36 years of A/E/C industry experience, Kurt has successfully led large, multimillion-dollar programs for the San Leandro Unified School District, the Grant Joint Union High School District, Gap Inc. and the United States Air Force. He has a proven ability to guide complex capital improvement programs through all project phases, including funding, programming, environmental and agency approvals, design, construction, commissioning, post-occupancy evaluations and warranty.

Kurt joined Vanir in 2016 as a Program Manager responsible for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s $4 billion Capital Outlay Program. He most recently acted as Sr. Project Director for Vanir’s education market, a market he will continue to serve in his new role.

Kurt holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame, is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Certified Construction Manager. He also served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force’s 3750th Civil Engineering Squadron from 1986 to 1990.
