Comprehensive Aviation PMCM Services Set the Stage for Sustained Economic Growth

The Crescent City community in Northern California celebrated the opening of a new terminal and major improvements at Del Norte County Regional Airport (CEC) in fall 2019. With this change, Contour Airlines will provide jet service from Crescent City to Oakland International, improving tourism from the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Serving as the program, project and construction manager for this effort, Vanir Construction Management worked closely with the Border Coast Regional Airport Authority and a wide array of program stakeholders from 2011 to 2019, to plan and deliver the five-phase, $55 million project.

Vanir’s role included project formulation, environmental mitigation, land acquisition, securing FAA funding, development of architectural bridging documents for a new terminal and parking lot, and assessing and implementing solutions for improved water and wastewater services. Vanir also managed and supervised all specialty airport consultants and a complex wetlands mitigation program necessary for FAA-required runway safety improvements.

The Vanir team is proud of this ongoing client relationship and honored to have played a part in this very important project.
