Executive Director - Healthcare, Vanir Construction Management

As Vice President of the Vanir Development Company and Executive Director of Healthcare for Vanir Construction Management, David Chung manages the expansion of Vanir’s healthcare expertise for both entities. Mr. Chung is a returning executive to Vanir, having previously held the position of Healthcare Market Sector Leader.

A seasoned healthcare development and construction management executive, Mr. Chung has more than 25 years of experience providing value creation and partnering with prominent healthcare systems to deliver exceptional healing environments. His expertise includes planning, design, construction management, financial modeling, acquisitions, dispositions, entitlements, portfolio management and complex negotiations. Additionally, his previous executive leadership roles within noteworthy healthcare systems allow him to draw from this experience and unique operational understanding from the healthcare system perspective to deliver successful project solutions.

Prior to joining Vanir, Mr. Chung held key leadership roles within the industry including serving as Corporate Senior Vice President of Development for Healthcare Trust of America, Vice President of Development at Duke Realty Healthcare and as the Regional Director of Real Estate & Construction for Providence St. Joseph Health System for Western Washington. During his career, he has held other key related roles such as a Principal within a prominent architectural firm, Healthcare Design Studio Leader and Executive Vice President of Development.

Mr. Chung earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and his Master of Real Estate Development degree from the University of Southern California.
