Project overview
Vanir served as the owner’s representative, providing project management services to Pueblo School District 60 for the design and construction of two new elementary school buildings: Franklin School of Innovation and Sunset Park Elementary. Designed the same with similar floor plans, the new schools were constructed adjacent to the existing, operational schools at each site, funded by the BEST Grant awarded by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). The scope of work included demolition of the former school buildings following completion of the new facilities, as well as extensive site work, which included parking lots, playgrounds, and play fields.
Vanir provided advocacy and technical advisory services to the owner regarding the project’s design, construction, and funding, working closely with the CDE Capital Construction Office to ensure the school district remained in compliance with grant funding requirements throughout construction.
