Project overview
Vanir served as the program and project manager for the construction of the Valleywise Community Health Center – Mesa. The over 27,000-square-foot facility is part of the ambulatory expansion for the Valleywise program, supporting a network of 12 community health centers throughout Maricopa County. Vanir’s scope of work included bid and award support, commissioning and start up, cost and move management, inspection, value engineering, and closeout.
The facility consists of:
- A pharmacy
- A lab
- Imaging
- A Family Learning Center
- Patient exam rooms
- Support spaces for environmental services and teaching
A dedicated integrated behavioral health space was also designed as a separate function of the facility to address the needs of the population. This was the first inclusion of behavioral health in the program’s templated clinic model.
