Tim Hancock serves as Vanir’s Senior Executive Director/Justice Lead. In this role, he is responsible for coordinating the efforts of all the Executive Directors and continues to lead national market and partnership development, planning and strategy. Tim works collaboratively with all regions to spearhead initiatives focused on successfully acquiring new justice and essential services business.
Prior to joining Vanir in April 2022, Tim was a 26-year veteran of the San Diego County Probation Department, where he retired as a Division Chief. He spent the last five years of his career developing, designing and constructing Phase I of the County of San Diego’s two-phases Youth Transition Campus (Vanir provided construction management services for both phases). The homelike campus, which adopted a more therapeutic and less punitive approach, is a model facility not only in design and process, but in its focus on providing supportive, trauma-informed services to help rehabilitate coed youths ages 12-20 and prepare them to reintegrate back into the community. The project finished on time and within budget while weathering the storm of a global pandemic.
Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology (emphasis in criminal justice) from Point Loma Nazarene University.
