Vanir served as the owner’s representative for Vanguard Classical School’s K12 campus. The project consisted of retrofitting an existing 126,000-square-foot warehouse and office building into a school. This required a full interior demolition and rebuild into classrooms, science and music rooms, administration offices, and a 16,000-square-foot gym and locker room addition. Site improvements included the addition of a soccer field and play apparatus area, along with landscaping, drainage, and parking lot development.
Due to the time constraints, Vanir and Vanguard Classical School elected to procure the project using the design-build method. This allowed for design and construction to start expeditiously, resulting in $14 million in construction being delivered in under six months.
