Maricopa Integrated Health System

Program overview

Vanir was selected in November 2016 to provide Integrated Program Management for Construction Services for Maricopa County Special Health Care District’s five-year program to develop, improve, and expand Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS) facilities. MIHS includes Maricopa Medical Center, Arizona Burn Center, Level I Trauma Center, Arizona Children’s Center, two Behavioral Health Facilities, and 13 Family Health Centers. The program will include a replacement of the inpatient hospital, expansion of behavioral health services, and an expansion and replacement of outpatient health centers.

As the first step for this major healthcare program, Vanir is providing pre-award programming services. We are working with MIHS staff and physicians to develop and align objectives for the new facilities, including budget and schedule criteria; roles, relationships and responsibilities; performance expectations; and stakeholder engagement priorities.

Following the initial work, our services will include program management; strategic and program planning; health services delivery planning; real estate advisory and land brokerage; transit‐oriented development; master site planning; operational design planning; information and clinical technology planning; brand development; community engagement; capital expenditure planning; and project controls.
