The Camp Verde Bugle has featured an article highlighting The Yavapai-Apache Nation Sewer Project. The project is currently on schedule and there have been no significant impacts on the environment. This project crosses several jurisdictions in the Camp Verde area and it deals with numerous layers of government, so having the project on schedule is crucial. This project will incorporate an extension of the wastewater system in Middle Verde and the eventual desertion of the wastewater facility near Cliff Castle Casino Hotel, which will involve buried sewer and gas lines in a trench from I-17 along Middle Verde Road to Reservation Loop Road.
YAN Chairman Thomas Beauty says “The development of this project will not only have a positive environmental impact on the community, but also allows the Nation to best use its land for economic and community development. Through all development processes, the Nation adheres to a variety of regulatory agencies to ensure that projects are conscience of the environment, and the Nation is confident the completion of the project will enhance the community, stimulate growth and provide infrastructure for the long-term economic vision of the community.”
