Vanir Selected For Sonora Juvenile Detention Facility Project

The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously that Vanir Construction Management Inc. should oversee the planning process of the Sonora Juvenile Detention Facility. Tuolumne County was approved for a $16 million state grant to build in 2009, the facility was approved in 2011 and it is scheduled to open no later than December 2015. The new facility is designed to have a capacity for 30 beds with a possibility of a second 30 bed extension.
