Congratulations to Pam Sammons on her 25 years with Vanir!

Pam joined Vanir in 1986 as a project secretary for our California Department of Mental Health Capital Outlay Program. In 1989 she assumed the role of an administrative assistant where she gained experience with Vanir’s administrative policies and procedures, participated in the screening of potential new employees, and assisted the Mansour Aliabadi in his role as executive vice president and principal-in-charge of various projects. After completing law school in 1991, Pam was promoted to the position of Administrator and focused on personnel management, personnel policy and procedures, employee performance/professional development, and employment law and regulations. Pam was appointed an associate in 1992; and in 1994, she served as our first QIC chair and a member of one of our first quality teams. She was promoted to director of administration in 1997 and elected as vice president in 2006.

Today, Pam is responsible for the performance and operation of our corporate administration group, directing tasks associated with personnel and employee relations. She also reviews our professional services contracts for compliance with company policy and guidelines, serves as project director for our strategic planning activities, and oversees our Cristo Rey High School Sacramento Work/Study program that provides students who come from financially-challenged backgrounds with the opportunity to gain corporate work experience while they complete a quality college preparatory education.
