PM/CM Services for Major Expansion Project
In 2001, the Town of Gilbert was growing at an average rate of 118% per year. To accommodate this rapid growth, Vanir was selected to manage the construction of the Water Reclamation Facility Expansion. The goal of this project was to increase the capacity of the facility to treat and reclaim 11 million gallons of water a day for irrigation and lake use.

Vanir's project and construction management services delivered both Phase I and Phase II successfully. During Phase I, a two million gallon reclaimed water reservoir with an influent pump station was constructed. Included in this phase were various facility additions: a wet well, an emergency/backup generator, a lift station, an odor scrubber, a new administration building, and various piping and electrical work.

Phase II furthered the expansion and facility functions by adding an oxidation ditch, clarifiers, a new chlorine contact basin, an aeration system, a headworks and grit separator, and a new electrical building with a FM200 waterless fire suppression system. Phase II also included a constructability review and preliminary estimate resulting in 1% change orders.
