City of Manhattan Beach Public Safety Building
Manhattan Beach, CA

Successful Delivery of CM Services
Vanir provided full construction management services for this project, which included the demolition of an existing facility and construction of a combined police and fire facility.

The building is a two-story structure and includes a basement with a 340-car subterranean parking structure. The fire station facility includes administrative offices, a four-bay engine room, living quarters, a kitchen, and training and fitness areas.

Overcoming Challenges
Vanir's staff played a key role in moving the project forward in spite of major weather delays, caused by an unprecedented 38 inches of rain in the '05-'06 season. We provided leadership and guidance to the project team and managed to successfully complete the project.

Effective Use of our Resources
"We hired Vanir because you are well-respected, have many resources to draw from, and could put the resources on our project that we believe are needed. We made the right decision when we hired Vanir to manage our project."
-Sherilyn Lombos, Deputy City Manager
