Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Modernization and Rahabilitation Program
Palos Verdes Estates, CA

A Continuing Client
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District selected Vanir in December 2000 as the program, project, and construction manager for its 19-campus program. Vanir developed the Implementation Master Plan, which drove the school modernization projects for all campuses, with a Quick Start program to jump-start smaller, high priority projects.

The on-going program consisted of $47 million in local bond funds (Measure K) and $14 million in anticipated matching state modernization funds. Our constructability review, condition assessment, and estimating services kept the program on target. The projects included all aspects of modernization with special attention to critical site issues involving accessibility for all students.

Vanir assisted the District in identifying and obtaining another $15 million in matching funds for the projects.

Our Accurate Budget = Successful Cost Control
"Accurate budget information has been provided on a timely basis, which has enabled the District to optimize the quality of facilities for our students and faculties. Their system of cost control has increased the value of our program significantly."

-Bruce Auld, Deputy Supt., Palos Verdes Peninsula USD

Reselection for New Program
Vanir has also been selected to manage the District's new $66 million program following the passage of two new local bonds.
