City and County of Carson City Public Safety Complex
Carson City, NV

Successful Delivery of New Safety Complex
Vanir's construction management services led to the delivery of a new, three-story courthouse facility with four courtrooms, offices and public spaces.

Located across from Nevada's gold-domed Capitol building, the complex was designed to reflect an appropriate sense of permanence, stability, and heightened security. Our services ensured that this criteria was delivered, and according to Rod Banister, Sheriff for Carson City, "...it is clear that Vanir's willingness to go the extra mile for the City was key to the success of the project."

The complex consists of a single-story jail plus mezzanine, connected to the courthouse by a secure ramp corridor. The jail includes 168 beds with the capacity of holding various types of classified prisoners. A 20-bed work release housing unit was included in the project, as well as site improvements.

Alternate Project Approaches = Significant Cost Savings
"I am particularly pleased with your assistance in developing alternate project approaches that led to significant cost savings to us without reducing the building quality."
