A Successful Renovation
Vanir's master planning and construction management services led to a successful renovation of the veterans home, originally built in 1884. Today, the Yountville Veterans Home of California provides long-term residential and medical care for 1,100 veterans.

Vanir's master plan identified the need to correct various fire and safety deficiencies and to provide environmental upgrades for patient comfort. The plan called for a complete renovation of the facility in order to achieve accreditation.

Our work included 15 individual projects at the home, ranging from $2 million to $12 million. The scope included: interior demolition and new partitions, new plumbing and electrical, asbestos and lead abatement, new floor coverings, acoustic tile ceilings and air conditioning. The largest of these projects was the renovation of the Holderman Skilled Nursing Facility.
