Vanir has been working with the federal Receiver in developing and managing multiple
projects related to medical care in San Quentin. Recently, we completed construction
for a $1.6 million triage Treatment Area. Total time from scope definition to occupancy was
less than eight months. We did this without any Architects or Engineers. Programming,
concept design and limited working drawings were done by Vanir. We used a quasi
design-build approach to complete the project. Kimberly Bobic did much of the pre
construction work and David Leak managed the construction phase. It was a challenging
project and the clients are extremely happy with the results. We are managing ten
other smaller projects and a $146 million central health services building in San Quentin.
