Sacramento, Calif. — April 2, 2012 Vanir Construction Management, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Andy Stewart, PE, LEED AP to the position of area manager for the Colorado area. In his new role, Andy will have an added focus on business development, marketing, project operations, and administration for the area.
Andy’s work history includes five years with the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps and positions as project manager, estimator, and business development manager with commercial general contractors in Colorado. Andy is a registered professional engineer and LEED® accredited professional. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a professional certificate in hazardous materials management from the University of California, San Diego.
Andy takes over for Jim West who is retiring after serving Vanir as the Colorado regional manager for the past 13 years, as well as project director for all projects in the region. Jim was hired in 1998 and was elected vice president that same year. He has successfully managed design, construction, and inspection activities on projects and programs ranging from $3 million to more than $400 million. He is an expert on healthcare, claims, and the CM-at-risk/GC/CM delivery method, and he has provided valuable assistance to all our regions in the areas of marketing and project support.
